Can you believe summer is over?! We are excited for fall and the kids are even starting to get excited for school! We had a great summer. Here's a little bit of what we did.
a little hiking
a lot of playing at the park
some water fun
James and the boys got to go tour the new temple in Tucson. They loved visiting our old home, but did not enjoy the heat of Tucson in June!!
Then off to Utah- we stayed longer this year and had lots of fun. First up, the giant waterslide.
Even Norah got in on the action
Then to Lagoon with the Chidester's. I hadn't been to Lagoon for years and it was seriously so fun!
Best thing about Utah- lots and lots of cousins!
We spent the fourth of July in Cache Valley and the boys were able to ride in the parade
Then we went back down to the Chidester's for a few days and had so much fun- swimming, laser tag, bowling, sleep outs and more. But I don't have any pictures because I was too tired at this point=)
Back home and exploring the children's museum in Ft. Collins
Next up, Frontier Days! The Leishmans stopped in for a quick visit and saw the Thunderbirds show.
Then the Chidester's came and we did the parade, the rodeo, and an evening in the mountains. The kids put on a super cute skit. I don't even have a rodeo picture this year because it is not advisable to take a 16 month old to a rodeo...
The county fair is always fun and so much more relaxed than cfd.
corn everywhere
backyard fun
Yesterday was the eclipse. We drove up to Torrington so we could see it in 100% totality. It was awe inspiring. I can't say enough- it was so cool.
we were all amazed
night time in the middle of the day
same view about 2 minutes apart
You can just barely see the flock of birds flying to roost in the trees.
Norah obviously didn't know what was going on, but she's always up for an adventure!
